Afraid your money might disappear into a black hole? Sent, and then… silence. No confirmation, no way to know where it is. When a transfer crosses borders, that silence shouldn’t be part of the deal. International payments. Nothing left in the dark. Few paintings have unsettled and fascinated in equal measure like Kazimir Malevich’s Black […]
MAGMA Finance and RTGS.Global Announce Strategic Partnership
MAGMA Finance and RTGS.global have announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing cross-border payment infrastructure and expanding global financial connectivity. The agreement was formalised during MAGMA Finance’s Fintech Conference in Mauritius, bringing together industry leaders to address the future of payments, FX, and digital assets.
MAGMA Finance has announced a strategic partnership with RTGS.global during its flagship Fintech Conference: Payments, FX and Digital Assets, held at the InterContinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava.
Hosted by MAGMA Finance, the conference brought together over 100 senior professionals from financial services, fintech, and international business sectors. The event focused on the evolving landscape of cross-border payments, foreign exchange markets, and digital assets, with particular attention to Mauritius’ growing role as a financial gateway connecting Africa with global markets.
The conference welcomed policymakers, financial institutions, and fintech leaders, including Dhaneshwar Damry, Junior Minister of Finance of Mauritius. Attendees also gained valuable macroeconomic and financial insights from keynote speaker Zdeněk Tůma.
A central highlight of the event was a panel discussion exploring the structural challenges of cross-border payments, the real-world impact of AI and machine learning in payment processing, and ongoing regulatory developments shaping global financial infrastructure. Tomas Pithart, Expert Advisor to the Board of Directors at RTGS.global, joined industry experts to share perspectives on improving efficiency and transparency across international payment systems.
“Cross-border payments remain constrained by fragmented infrastructure and legacy processes,” said Pithart. “Partnerships like this help bring together institutions and technology providers to build faster, more transparent, and resilient settlement networks.”
The partnership between MAGMA Finance and RTGS.global was formally established during a ceremonial signing at the conclusion of the panel session. The agreement, signed by Tomas Pithart and Varun Narain, Director of MAGMA Finance, confirms MAGMA Finance’s participation in the RTGS.global global network of financial institutions.
“MAGMA Finance is committed to enabling efficient, secure, and scalable cross-border financial services for international businesses,” said Narain. “Joining the RTGS.global network strengthens our ability to deliver innovative and reliable payment solutions across regions and further enhances our global connectivity.”
Throughout the conference, discussions covered key industry themes, including cross-border payment corridors across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, the integration of AI in financial services, regulatory challenges in fintech, and the growing role of digital assets in the global economy.
Building on the success of this event, MAGMA Finance will host its third Fintech Conference later this year, continuing its mission to foster collaboration between regulators, financial institutions, and fintech innovators.

Cross-border payments across Africa are being reshaped in real time.
